Cytena’s single-cell printerTM (scpTM) utilizes microfluidics technology and real-time image analysis to sort and deposit single cells into standard microplates. An innovative cartridge, similar to ink-jet printing technology, is used for one-way dispensing. It can print a 96- or 384-well plates and five images are captured as the cells are dispensed, providing proof of single-cell isolation.
It is a benchtop size, automated laboratory instrument with a dispensing -head with dispensing unit and optics that can be moved freely on a 3-axes robotic stage. The scpTM comes with a ready-to-use API. The system is user-friendly and can be operated by any member of the lab after a quick, short introduction.
